ABSOLUTELY MEANS

• a character who makes her own choices, even if they’re mistakes
• a character whose point of view is explored at least briefly
• a character who is the hero of her own story whether she knows it or not

And that’s just a strong character, really.

This is why i didn’t understand the following: when Dr. Horrible came out there was a lot of uproar and disappointment about penny. “Whedon, you’ve let us down!” They cried. “She’s not a string female character, she never beats anyone up!”

You fools. Penny goes out to do something she believes in. She didn’t wait around for approval or assistance from some guy. She had troubles in her own life and made the decision to turn it around and make a positive difference in the world all on her own.

Wtf do you people want!

(Capt hammer stepping in and sweeping away her hard work with the power of his fist doesn’t invalidate the fact that she was trying to do it on her own and wasn’t expecting him to “save” her project or do all the work)

as i’m sure you lot are aware, the tumblr mobile app sucks butt. i pretty much only use most social thingies on my phone when i’m bored away from home/a real computer, because when i’m at home/a real computer, i have 5,000 better things to do. the mobile app is fine (like, actually still pretty bad, but tolerable) for viewing my dash only, and reblogging i guess, but further interaction and posting stuff and changing my settings etc, EVEN JUST FOLLOWING NEW PEOPLE, seem to be beyond its scope (or at least too hard to be worth it).

are there any *better* ANDROID apps for using tumblr that will make it worth my time and get me more active in the ways of tumbling, o great internet hive mind? 

i may not see your answers because i may not know how that works on the app/in general or maybe there’s no such thing as people interacting on tumblr or i have to do it some special way that i’m not aware of because i have used tumblr on my desktop literally 3x in my life so if it’s not on the mobile app which apparently nothing is then i don’t know about it i really hate this app /runonsentence
